Remi Tewogbade (AKA Remmy Tee) is a mother, an entrepreneur, and a licensed attorney. She resides in Maryland and operates a private practice, the RTCounsel Law office.

“Remmy Tee” is a nickname she has been called by friends dating back to high school.

Since she is well known by that nickname, she reasoned she might as well trademark it and that is how “Remmy Tee” was branded and the company Remmy Tee LLC. was formed.

Remmy has always had a flair for fashion, away from her office or the courtroom, she can be found styling a client or shopping. Over the years, she’s established a boutique and also launched a fabric and styling business known as Elim Avenue (check out @Elimavenue on Instagram); but her creative side kept her awake at night yearning to birth her own brand of products.

Well, some years ago, one of her expensive designer scarves was lost in the middle of a windy snowstorm in Toronto, Canada, and the idea of producing her own scarves on high-end fabrics became something she could not get out of her head.

She challenged herself to manufacture affordable scarves, embracing the same high-grade silk fabrics used by known high-end designers. Remmy embarked on research for months, determined to understand “silk,” in its entirety, the different grades, and where to source them from.

Remmy draws inspiration for her designs from the African batik and tie-die designs; she knows that showcasing these designs on high-end fabrics is an innovative way of introducing the collaboration of our diverse rich cultures into the global fashion world.
